Volleyball Recap: Christopher's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Christopher unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Westmont Warriors. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Cougars haven't been shut out since back in March.

Christopher took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, 25-23.

Christopher's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 14-4. As for Westmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Christopher is set to square off against their familiar foe Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Westmont will challenge rival Prospect at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Panthers a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
