Softball Recap: Heritage Generals vs. Cherokee Bluff Bears
Heritage had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Cherokee Bluff Bears on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Generals sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Macie Collins was incredible, going 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Corvin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Heritage didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with 12 strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now tossed at least 11 strikeouts in three consecutive matchups.
Heritage's win bumped their record up to 34-2. As for Cherokee Bluff, their defeat dropped their record down to 26-8.
As of now, neither Heritage nor Cherokee Bluff have any future games scheduled.
