St. Anne's-Belfield had won six straight games and Jonah Brent did his part to make it seven on Friday. The Saints blew past The Covenant School Eagles, posting a 56-0 win for which the team can thank Brent, who rushed for 194 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. He has been hot, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played.

St. Anne's-Belfield didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ryan Steeper and Chase Miller.

St. Anne's-Belfield's record is now 7-0. As for The Covenant School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Anne's-Belfield will venture away from home to challenge Atlantic Shores Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for The Covenant School, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blue Ridge at 2:00 p.m. on November 1.
