Duke's top-ranked recruiting class gets better with addition of Joey Baker

The top-ranked incoming recruiting class in college basketball just got better.

Joey Baker of Trinity Christian (Fayetteville, N.C.), a five-star prospect in the Class of 2019, announced Wednesday via Twitter that he is reclassifying and joining Duke's star-studded Class of 2018.
The 6-foot-7, 190-pound small forward averaged 18.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per game at Trinity Christian during the 2017-18 season, leading the Crusaders to the NCISAA Class 1A state title. He was pegged as the No. 27 overall prospect in the 2019 class by 247Sports.

Duke has already signed four of the top dozen prospects in the 2018 class, – MaxPreps National Player of the Year R.J. Barrett of Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.), Cameron Reddish of Westtown (West Chester, Pa.), Zion Williamson of Spartanburg Day (Spartanburg, S.C.) and Tre Jones of Apple Valley (Minn.).
