Baseball Recap: Junction Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Monday. Junction fell just short of Goldthwaite by a score of 4-3.

Chasen Doyal was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Quade Sullivan, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Junction's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Goldthwaite, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Junction nor Goldthwaite have any future games scheduled.
