Baseball Recap: Silverdale Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against South Pittsburg on Tuesday, Silverdale Academy came back down to earth. The Seahawks took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Baylor Red Raiders on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Seahawks of the 9-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Jonathan Hasty was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Silverdale Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Baylor, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silverdale Academy will welcome The Webb School at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Seahawks 3.9, the Feet 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Baylor, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Boyd-Buchanan at 6:30 p.m.
