Basketball Recap: Santana Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

El Cajon Valley came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Santana, but Sam Mora wouldn't allow it. The Santana Sultans walked away with a 50-40 win over the El Cajon Valley Braves on Tuesday thanks in part to Mora, who posted 22 points and seven boards. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Despite the loss, El Cajon Valley still got an impressive performance from Onnamarie Miller, who went 5 for 11 en route to 15 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Kiyara Millice was another key player, putting up eight points and five steals.

Santana has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for El Cajon Valley, they dropped their record down to 12-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Santana will take on Monte Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Santana will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for El Cajon Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 39-26 victory against Mission Bay on the 5th.
