The Poly Parrots will head out on the road to take on the Kennedy Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Poly, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Poly turned things around against Arleta on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 8-3.

ISABELLA NAVARRO spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, JACKIE GALLARDO was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of JAZLYN GALLARDO, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Poly, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-10.
