Volleyball Recap: Beaver Comes Up Short

Beaver came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the San Juan Broncos, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Beavers in their meetings with the Broncos: they've now lost four in a row.

Beaver took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-16, 25-22.

When it comes to explaining why Beaver lost, don't look at Ainsley Brown. Despite the final result, she had 14 assists and ten digs. Brown has been hot, having posted 13 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Beaver now has a losing record of 8-9. As for San Juan, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Beaver didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Grand County on the 27th. As for San Juan, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Enterprise on the 27th.
