Volleyball Recap: Overton Mustangs vs. Union Grove Lions
Overton was the 3-0 winner over Union Grove when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Overton Mustangs fell just short of the Union Grove Lions by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Overton actually scored more points across those five sets (96-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-18, 25-16, 16-25, 15-12.
Overton's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Union Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 7-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overton will head out to square off against Gary at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union Grove, they will challenge Elysian Fields at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
