Baseball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Logan County Cougars.

Kason Woodson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Logan County, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Springfield will challenge East Robertson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Logan County, they will take on Ohio County in a tournament on Friday.
