Basketball Game Preview: Columbus Titans vs. St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers

For the first time this season, Columbus will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to challenge the St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers on Thursday. St. Mary's-Colgan took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Columbus, who comes in off a win.

While Titans fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Thursday's season opener. They blew past Oswego 74-40 on Thursday. The Titans pushed the score to 55-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Indians had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when St. Mary's-Colgan took on Hayden on Saturday. The Panthers took a 69-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Columbus couldn't quite finish off St. Mary's-Colgan in their previous matchup back in February and fell 54-52. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
