Baseball Recap: Tunkhannock Gets the Win

Tunkhannock took a 15-run defeat the last time they faced off against MMI Preparatory School, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers had just enough and edged out MMI Preparatory School 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since May 7, 2024.

Tunkhannock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Gregory, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. That's the most runs Gregory has posted since back in March.

Tunkhannock's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-14. As for MMI Preparatory School, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-8.

Coming up, Tunkhannock will host Wyoming Seminary College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for MMI Preparatory School, they will head out to take on Holy Redeemer at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Royals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so MMI Preparatory School's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
