Basketball Game Preview: Ridge View Blazers vs. Fort Dorchester Patriots

The Ridge View Blazers will challenge the Fort Dorchester Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridge View is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season.

Ridge View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Blythewood, who was ranked seventh at the time (Ridge View was ranked 24th). Ridge View came out on top against Blythewood by a score of 55-47 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blazers.

Ridge View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zaria Willingham, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Willingham a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janiya Carter, who went 5-for-8 en route to 12 points.

Fort Dorchester played against Summerville on Wednesday and lost via forfeit.

Ridge View pushed their record up to 18-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points over those games. As for Fort Dorchester, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.
