Football Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

If Centennial was riding high fresh off their 64-0 takedown of Mifflin last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stars took a hard 28-11 fall against the Northland Vikings on Friday. The Stars haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Northland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Centennial will square off against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northland, they will challenge Mifflin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will be up against the Punchers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
