Baseball Recap: Glacier Peak Takes a Loss

Glacier Peak was the 2-0 winner over Jackson when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Timberwolves by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Glacier Peak has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Jackson, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Glacier Peak will take on rival Mariner at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Jackson is set to challenge their familiar foe Lake Stevens at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Timberwolves 2, the Vikings 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
