Softball Game Preview: New Lexington Panthers vs. West Muskingum Tornadoes

For the second straight game, New Lexington will face off against West Muskingum. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Lexington has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with four straight losses, while West Muskingum will come in with five straight victories.

New Lexington came up short against West Muskingum on Monday, falling 16-1.

For West Muskingum's part, the team relied heavily on Addy Antonetz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, Antonetz posted three RBI, the most she's had over her last 11 contests. Lydiah Huey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

West Muskingum pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for New Lexington, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.
