Basketball Recap: Sheridan Hills Christian Comes Up Short

Sheridan Hills Christian lost against Don Soffer Aventura back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks fell to the Don Soffer Aventura Barracuda 53-47. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Don Soffer Aventura to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Urbach, who posted 13 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Those 13 points gave Urbach a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tom Sela, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Sheridan Hills Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Don Soffer Aventura, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-5.

Sheridan Hills Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-29 victory against Village Academy on the 31st. As for Don Soffer Aventura, they will take on Hallandale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Hallandale's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.
