Basketball Recap: Rye Cove Comes Up Short

Rye Cove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 69-37 loss at the hands of the Eastside Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 74-42 loss last Friday.

Rye Cove's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Eastside, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Rye Cove will host Thomas Walker at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rye Cove is facing Thomas Walker at the right time seeing as Thomas Walker is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Eastside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
