Community Baptist extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Zavien Russell. The Conquerors walked away with a 48-36 win over the Salem Christian School Defenders on Friday for which the team can thank Russell, who shot 43% from the field en route to 29 points in addition to eight rebounds and five blocks. He also grabbed four steals, which is notable because Community Baptist is 5-2 when he posts at least three steals, but 1-3 otherwise.

When it comes to explaining why Salem Christian School lost, don't look at Parker Copeland. Despite the final result, he posted 19 points. Dimitri Heitschmidt was another key player, putting up four points and six blocks.

Community Baptist now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Salem Christian School, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community Baptist will be home for the holidays to greet Faith Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Salem Christian School, they will host Sheets Memorial Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
