Volleyball Recap: Waynedale Finds Playoff Glory Versus Hillsdale

Waynedale had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won by a set and slipped past the Hillsdale Falcons 3-2. The Golden Bears haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Waynedale took Hillsdale into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 27-25, 18-25, 17-25, 16-14.

Callie Wolfe paced Waynedale's offense, picking up 26 kills. Wolfe got some help from Sydnee Beckler and her 44 assists. Wolfe was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Waynedale's record now sits at 17-8. As for Hillsdale, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-12.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Waynedale and Dalton will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. Hillsdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
