Soccer Recap: Coral Reef Comes Up Short

Coral Reef and Palmetto squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Coral Reef had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Palmetto Panthers. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, the Barracudas' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Coral Reef's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Palmetto, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4-1.

Both are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Coral Reef will take on Wellington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wellington will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Coral Reef surely won't give up without a fight. Palmetto has already played their next game (against Spanish River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
