Baseball Game Preview: Stringer Red Devils vs. Richton Rebels

For the second straight game, Stringer will face off against Richton. The Red Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

While Stringer's win against Richton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Devils had just enough and edged out the Rebels 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won seven in a row.

For Richton's part, Slade Overstreet put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Overstreet was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Elisha Byrd made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Gaige Everett was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Stringer's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Richton, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17.
