Basketball Recap: Yuma Comes Up Short

Yuma lost against Dysart back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Yuma Criminals took a hard 55-38 fall against the Dysart Demons.

Despite the loss, Yuma still got an impressive performance from Legend Redmond, who posted 14 points and six steals. Redmond is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bonnie Amador, who had 11 points and five steals.

Yuma's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Dysart, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Yuma didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-38 loss against Gila Ridge on the 17th. Dysart has also already played their next contest, a 47-19 win against Coronado on the 22nd.
