Basketball Recap: Norwich RVT Falls to Grasso Tech in First Game of Season

Norwich RVT had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Grasso Tech Eagles, falling 75-49. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in January.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josh Lodyko, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. Those 15 points gave Lodyko a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Lillibridge, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Julius Washington was a one-man wrecking crew for Grasso Tech as he went 10 of 24 on his way to 25 points. Jordan Washington was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six boards and three steals.

Norwich RVT will welcome Putnam at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Grasso Tech, they will head out to take on Platt RVT at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
