Baseball Recap: Marcellus Mustangs vs. Solvay Bearcats

Marcellus got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Solvay Bearcats 8-7. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Bearcats two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Gavin Foy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Foy was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025.
