Baseball Recap: Walsingham Academy Trojans vs. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Walsingham Academy had no problem doing just that on Monday. They never let the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights onto the board and left with a 16-0 win. The result was nothing new for Walsingham Academy, who have now won 16 games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Ayden Evans made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Evans has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances. Evans was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with a home run.
In other batting news, Walsingham Academy got a massive performance out of Edward Holstrom, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Luke Harlow was another key contributor, going 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI.
