Volleyball Game Preview: Shepard Astros vs. Reavis Rams

Shepard hasn't had much luck against Reavis recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Astros are taking a road trip to challenge the Rams at 4:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Shepard didn't have quite enough to beat Argo and fell 2-1.

Shepard started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Reavis entered their tilt with Hillcrest on Thursday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 2-0.

Reavis easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-9.

Shepard's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-9. As for Reavis, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Shepard came up short against Reavis in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Astros avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
