Basketball Recap: Torrington Comes Up Short

After flying high against Woodland Regional last Saturday, Torrington came back down to earth. The Torrington Raiders took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holy Cross Crusaders. The Raiders have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Torrington's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Holy Cross, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Holy Cross beat Torrington by a score of 66-60 on Tuesday.
