Football Recap: Lake Placid Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lake Placid was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Gateway Panthers 42-13. The Dragons lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 40-34 score last time.

Lake Placid's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Gateway, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Placid will take on DeSoto County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Gateway, they will face off against Poinciana at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
