Basketball Recap: Central Valley Takes a Loss

Central Valley was the 70-55 winner over Mead when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Central Valley Bears took a 68-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mead Panthers on Tuesday. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Central Valley now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Mead, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Central Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgeline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeline knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Central Valley likes a good challenge. As for Mead, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Mead Panthers face off against the Mt. Spokane Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mead will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
