Volleyball Recap: Shaw Takes a Loss

Shaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Amanda Elzy Panthers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Shaw was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 25-7.

Shaw's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Amanda Elzy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shaw will venture away from home to challenge North Side at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Amanda Elzy, they will challenge O'Bannon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
