Eastern Hancock extended the longest winning streak in Mid-Indiana Football this week by beating Milan, 52-27. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
South Decatur took down Edinburgh 34-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Eastern Hancock's dynamic duo of Logan Splater and Spencer Gilbert proved tough for the Indians to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Splater threw for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns and Gilbert had 115 yards receiving. Cooper Henderson helped Eastern Hancock's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 43 yards.
Patrick Echeverria's team's dynamic duo of Splater and Gilbert proved to be unstoppable against Milan, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Splater put up the best numbers through the air as the Royals topped Ed Wagner's team.
Gilbert was the best receiver in the league this week as Eastern Hancock topped the Indians.
Brennin Harper was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 232 yards as Knightstown beat Milan. Teammate Kaleb Kinnaman added to the ground attack by rushing for 188 yards.
Harper was a beast in the backfield as the Panthers topped North Decatur.
Harper provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Knightstown bested the Chargers.
Leading Mid-Indiana Football in both passing and receiving yards, Indian Creek's Gynson Robley and Brenden Smith have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-4 quarterback Robley has thrown for 392 yards this season, while Smith has 21 catches for 371 yards. Eastern Hancock's Gilbert leads the league in rushing yards with 729.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Eastern Hancock takes on second place Knightstown. The Royals beat the Indians last week, while Kevin Miller's team bested North Decatur.
Eastern Hancock led the league in scoring this week by notching 52 points on Milan. Gilbert ran for 214 yards in the win.
