Basketball Recap: Isaiah Meadows' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chapelgate Christian Academy over Sandy Spring Friends

If Chapelgate Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 73-37 takedown of Greater Grace Christian Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Yellowjackets fell 77-66 to the Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildebeests from their previous meeting back in February.

Chapelgate Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Isaiah Meadows, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Paul Ayivor, who went 9-for-17 to rack up 25 points and six boards.

Chapelgate Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Sandy Spring Friends, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
