Evansville Memorial extended their winning streak to eight on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 11-1 in the process. They never let the Evansville Reitz Panthers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Surprisingly, this marked the Tigers' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Evansville Reitz, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

For Evansville Reitz's part, Talan Willett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. Willett is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 3-1 (and 2-9 when he doesn't).
