Football Recap: Wheat Ridge Falls to Wayne Hills in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Wheat Ridge unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Wayne Hills Patriots and fell 42-6. The Farmers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

Jyles Ballenger threw for 37 yards on five of 12 attempts. Isaiah Osei was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards.

DAVID VAN HOOK was nothing short of spectacular for Wayne Hills: he picked up 117 receiving yards and four TDs. VAN HOOK showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 50 yards. Another player making a difference was JAMES WOLF, who threw for 154 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
