Basketball Recap: Dugway Comes Up Short

Dugway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 60-36 to the Escalante Moquis. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their loss to the Moquis from their previous meeting back in January.

Despite the defeat, Dugway saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gary Williams Jr posted 15 points.

Dugway's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Escalante, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Dugway will head out on the road to take on St. Joseph at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Jayhawks have now posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Escalante, they have already played their next matchup, a 45-26 win against Beaver Dam on the 13th.
