Baseball Recap: Santa Fe Indian Wins Going Away Against Pecos

Santa Fe Indian's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Pecos Panthers. The win continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.

Dontrell Aguilar was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Cordero, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Aguilar wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Santa Fe Indian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matchups.

Santa Fe Indian's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Pecos, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.
