Lakeland won the last time they faced Lake Wales and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lakeland Dreadnaughts walked away with a 61-51 victory over the Lake Wales Highlanders. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dreadnaughts.

Lake Wales lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sebastian Perez, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. Perez is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Jorge Ramirez was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Lakeland now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Lake Wales, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Lakeland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-35 loss against Gibbs on the 10th. As for Lake Wales, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-57 defeat against Sebring on the 10th.
