Basketball Recap: Shekinah Christian Victorious

If Northside Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Shekinah Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Nava Showalter. The Shekinah Christian Flames enjoyed a cozy 32-17 victory over the Northside Christian Lions on Tuesday thanks in part to Showalter, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. She also grabbed six steals, which is notable because Shekinah Christian is 9-4 when she posts at least three steals, but 3-4 otherwise.

Shekinah Christian's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Northside Christian, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shekinah Christian will host Cristo Rey at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northside Christian, they will welcome Granville Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
