Klahowya dropped their record down to 4-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Seattle Christian Warriors, falling 10-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 back in March.
Brooklyn Hart was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Shyanne Kilmer also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
As for Seattle Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
On Seattle Christian's side, Jessica Knight made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). Knight was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs.
In other batting news, Evelyn Koontz was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Kenzy Hunt, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Coming up, Klahowya will face off against Cascade Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Seattle Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Granite Falls at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
