Antelope suffers sixth straight loss at home

This season hasn't been kind to the Antelope Rams, who are still winless after their tenth match. They had to suffer through a rough 41-9 loss at the hands of San Pasqual Valley. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Antelope has suffered against San Pasqual Valley since December 11, 2018.

San Pasqual Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daeja Villicana led the charge by scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Villicana hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. Kali Cortez was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Antelope's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.5 points per game. As for San Pasqual Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antelope will square off against Anthem Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for San Pasqual Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Gila Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Gila Ridge will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
