McGregor waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since April 12, 2024.

McGregor's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brylee Seward, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Addyson Todd was another, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

McGregor's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Anderson-Shiro, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

The future could be bright for both McGregor and Anderson-Shiro: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. McGregor will look to extend Connally's six-game losing streak when they meet at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Anderson-Shiro will try to hand Onalaska their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th.
