Baseball Recap: Syracuse's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

There's no place like home for Syracuse, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Fremont Silverwolves 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Titans: when they faced off against the Silverwolves on Wednesday, they had to take a 9-5 defeat.

Caleb Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has become a key player for Syracuse: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-14 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Turley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kysen Gallegos, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The win snapped Syracuse's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-14 record. As for Fremont, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 16-6 record.
