Basketball Recap: Pinecrest Academy Has No Trouble Against Victory Baptist + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lanier Christian Academy, Pinecrest Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took down the Victory Baptist Warrior 62-44. That looming 62-44 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Paladins yet this season.

Pinecrest Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Lynch, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 20 rebounds. Lynch's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Nick Keyman, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 20 points in addition to eight assists and four steals.

Pinecrest Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

When it comes to explaining why Victory Baptist lost, don't look at Myles Lewis-Taggart. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards. Lewis-Taggart is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ziggy Binitie, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

Pinecrest Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Victory Baptist, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Coming up, Pinecrest Academy is taking a road trip to take on Fideles Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rangers have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Victory Baptist, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Georgia HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
