After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Marlboro Academy finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of the King's Academy Lions by a score of 2-1. The Dragons' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Marlboro Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madelyn Roscoe, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base.

Marlboro Academy's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for King's Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Marlboro Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Conway Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, King's Academy will challenge rival the Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
