Basketball Game Preview: Frankton Eagles vs. Oak Hill Golden Eagles

Frankton is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Wapahani on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Frankton might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Wapahani an easy 57-37 win. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Raiders are ranked 51st).

Meanwhile, Oak Hill had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Apaches by a score of 40-29.

Oak Hill's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for Frankton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Frankton beat Oak Hill 39-27 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Will Frankton repeat their success, or does Oak Hill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
