Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Petersburg). They walked away with a 48-40 win over the Skagway Panthers on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Petersburg's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Skagway, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-1.

Petersburg won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Craig at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Craig has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Skagway, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hydaburg on February 2nd.
