Football Recap: Madison-Ridgeland Academy Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Madison-Ridgeland Academy had won three straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 5-1 to make it four. They walked away with a 35-24 victory over the Jackson Academy Raiders. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

It was another big night for Samuel Stockett, who threw for 281 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Colson O'Cain was in the mix too, providing Madison-Ridgeland Academy with two TDs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Jackson Academy fell to 4-1. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Aaric Beasley and Josef Walker certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Beasley gained 126 total yards and a touchdown, while Walker threw for 227 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Madison-Ridgeland Academy will face off against Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jackson Academy, they will square off against Magnolia Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Chiefs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
