Baseball Preview: Baylor Red Raiders vs. Cleveland Blue Raiders
The Baylor Red Raiders will take on the Cleveland Blue Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Baylor saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over Boyd-Buchanan. The Red Raiders haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Baylor got a great performance from Wells Grisham as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. Furthermore, Grisham didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mac Morris, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Sam Godbout was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Cleveland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Signal Mountain only posted an OBP of .250.
The victory got Baylor back to even at 1-1. As for Cleveland, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.
